Patea Dam Crest Raising
In 2014 TrustPower showed their confidence in MAP by awarding this small and technically challenging Project to us. It entailed the raising and levelling of the Dam Crest of the Patea Dam in the Taranaki to achieve compliance with current Dam Safety. This Included cut and fill earthworks and the construction of a concrete retaining wall. The Patea Dam is a major PIC Dam constructed in the early 1970’s. and the 1.2m raising of the Dam crest included;
- Removal and replacement of the wave wall
- Stripping the top of the dam
- Production of selected core material and Rock fill rebuilding the dam to the new crest level
